Chainlayer was officially founded in the Netherlands in November 2019. Since then, we have grown into a multi-million dollar company with tremendous success in node operations and investments.

Peter
CEO & Co-Founder
Peter co-founded Chainlayer with Christian in 2019. Peter is a blockchain veteran and hands-on leader who has grown Chainlayer into the well-respected company it is today. Before founding Chainlayer, Peter worked for large financial institutions such as Rabobank and ING in various roles.
Chris
CTO & Co-Founder
Christian is a blockchain veteran, and has been experimenting with everything the crypto sphere has to offer. Before co-founding Chainlayer, he worked for the Norwegian Armed Forces, Norwegian Police Security Service, and Telenor.
Patrick
CFO
Patrick leads Chainlayer’s financial strategy and governance, ensuring sustainable growth and operational resilience. With a strong background in financial advisory and SME auditing, he brings both technical expertise and strategic vision to the leadership team. Holding an MSc in Accounting and Control from VU Amsterdam, Patrick oversees financial planning, risk management, and investment analysis.

Jiri has an extensive background in IT systems and infrastructure administration. He has solid experience in automation, monitoring, and security. Besides his technical interests, he is also an experienced mountain guide.

Tech Lead DevOps
Karim has been working in the IT industry for over ten years. He has a broad skillset with a background in infrastructure, operations and development. Karim is a big fan of automation and is always looking for ways to improve workflows. He is a firm believer in open source and is always looking for ways to contribute to the community.
Jesse
Senior DevOps Engineer
Jesse's journey from a network engineer in defense contracting, responsible for managing sensitive information in secure settings, to a DevOps engineer reflects his deep technical expertise and adaptability. Now at Chainlayer, he is instrumental in building and maintaining efficient and secure systems across blockchains.
Lazar
DevOps Engineer
Lazar holds a Master's Degree in Cybersecurity and has a passion for exploring abstract mathematical concepts and tinkering with security challenges. With an interest in automation, git workflows, virtualization, and blockchain software, he brings both precision and creativity to his work. Music fuels his focus, while automotive sports and competitive gaming keep his spirit sharp.
Filip
DevOps Engineer
Filip is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure. He holds a Master's Degree in Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Since early 2021, Filip has been passionate about blockchain technology and is dedicated to continuously expanding his expertise in the field.

DevOps Engineer
Joakim comes from a concept development background and brings a different perspective to operational engineering. With a deep interest in blockchain technology, he works at the intersection of development and blockchain operations. A problem-solver at heart, he combines technical expertise with creative innovation.
Thomas
Senior DevOps Engineer
Thomas brings over 18 years of cybersecurity expertise to our team. With an extensive background from the Norwegian Armed Forces and the Police Security Service, he has a wealth of experience in all aspects of computing. He is passionate about container-based systems.
